Therapeutic Apheresis
Therapeutic Apheresis (TA) applies apheresis technology to the clinical
treatment of autoimmune diseases and blood disorders by removing
selected, abnormal components or cells and returning all others.
HemaCare/Coral Blood Services is the leading provider of TA in the
United States, and has provided such services for over 25 years.
TA services are delivered through the use of mobile units operated
at the patient's bedside or in an outpatient setting. Treatments
are administered by experienced hemapheresis-trained staff under
the supervision of specially trained physicians. The Company has
performed over 50,000 therapeutic apheresis procedures -- more than
any single organization in the world.
